This past weekend my wife Beth and I traveled to Reading, PA for Comic Geek Speak’s first annual Super Show.

It was great to see all the people we met last year at Episode 300, plus some new faces (Travers and Allison from Australia).

Saturday started a bit shaky when our car battery died in the Days Inn parking lot. Luckily the Sear Auto Center was within walking distance from the hotel. Beth offered to stay behind and get the battery replaced.

All in all, I came back with 107 comics, 5 trades and a fantastic Batman sketch from Mr. Mike Norton. The CGS live events are akin to a family reunion, teeming with goodwill for each other as well as our shared love of comics and sequential art.

Beth and I are already counting down the days until Super Show 2009.
